In May, Mr. Freddy Ortiz and four students from Sylmar High School went to the Coalition for Community Schools National Forum in San Francisco, California on May 9 to 12, 2012. <br><br>u27A2 Mr. Ortiz and students presented Youth-Led Collective Impact, which discussed challenges and services of partners and how youth can simulate collective impact strategies.<br>u27A2 Mr. Ortiz and Los Angeles Education Partnership (LAEP) presented Infused Community School Strategies in Ground-Level School Reform, which presented ongoing education reforms that have made sustainable community strategies impossible and opportunities to scale up community school efforts.<br><br>Students visited University of California, Berkeley and San Francisco State University.<br><br><br>Sylmar High Schoolu2019s community partner, LAEP sponsored the trip. <br><br><br>By Mary Ruth Summers<br>
