face the interviewee as she or he talks.
ask open ended questions to encourage in-depth answers. Follow up with questions if you don't understand.
be patient; let the interviewee answer completely before you ask another question
Do not judge or argue. Just record what is expressed.
might want to record interview on tape instead of taking notes.

idea: you will create an opinion page and it will have 1 point of view, Loyalist or Patriot. You will answer the following question.
Were the colonists justified (right) in rebelling against Britain?
