World History (Period 7) Assignments

Students are to complete their Ch.1 Stars Vocab List using their textbooks. Page numbers are next to the vocab words.
For What: put the definition
For Who: put a person involved with that word, it can also be a group of people like Athenians
For When: put B.C. for all of them because there are no exact dates
For Where: put location of the word, most likely Athens, Greece, or Rome
For Why: put why the word is important

Students need to get their grade reports signed by a parent.

Students need to study for a the Light Bulb Vocabulary Quiz that is tomorrow. These words include: Point of View, Evidence, Geography, Government, Predict, Summary, Culture, and Society. The quiz is a matching quiz, so it is not too difficult.

Students need to complete Meeting New Vocab 1/2 sheet paper with the words society & culture. You need to use color in the drawings!

Students need to complete the Bright Idea Vocab List by looking up each of the words in a dictionary or by going to www.dictionary.com. They write the definition inside the lightbulb and then write three synonyms (similar words) at the bottom of the lightbulb.

Students need to create a 9/11 mini poster using the 555 rule. It needs to be at least the size of a 8 x 11inch normal sheet of paper & have 5 colors, 5 pictures, & 5 words that describes 9/11. Extra effort will result in extra credit.

Students are to complete their Circles & Squares Vocabulary List by looking up definitions in a dictionary or on www.dictionary.com. If you have questions, please e-mail me: [email protected] and if you need another copy of it, please click on the file below:

One pen or pencil
One color highlighter
