School Site Council Information
The SSC serves as the school's representative body for determining the focus of the school’s academic instructional program and all categorical funding.
The SSC’s primary responsibilities are:
- Review the ELAC’s advice for improvement of the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).
- Develop and approve the SPSA and related expenditures in accordance with all federal, state, and District laws and regulations.
- Provide ongoing review of the implementation of the plan with the principal, teachers, and school staff members, and other stakeholders
- Review data and evaluate the progress made towards the school goals to raise the academic achievement of all students.

The SSC is composed of 14 members elected by their peers. The following members will serve on SSC for 2025-26:
- Rodney Wright, Principal
- There are currently four vacancies for classroom teachers
- There are currently two vacancies for other staff members
- There are currently four vacancies for family/community members
- There are currently three vacancies for students

Sylmar Charter High School has developed a Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy in accordance with district, state, and federal laws. This policy was created with input from all educational partner groups and approved by the School Site Council on January 29, 2025. This policy outlines how Sylmar Charter High School will engage parents and families in their students' education. This policy was distributed to all families on January 31, 2025.
